Esperanza:
Behavioral Health & Social Services

Esperanza is the Behavioral Health and Social Services program of Nuestras Raíces, providing culturally and linguistically responsive care that honors the unique strengths, traditions, and experiences of multicultural communities. We believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate support in a language they understand and in an environment where they feel respected, valued, and connected.

Our Social Services team includes Community Health Workers and Resource Navigators who help individuals and families overcome barriers to accessing essential resources and public services. Whether you need assistance applying for health insurance, understanding state benefit programs, navigating complex medical or disability systems, finding community resources, or connecting to housing, food, transportation, or other supports, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. We also offer Driver License Education cohorts and help eligible participants obtain their driver's license, creating greater opportunities for independence, employment, and community engagement.

Our Behavioral Health services provide compassionate, person-centered support for individuals and families facing life's challenges. We offer individual therapy and counseling, case management for individuals with complex medical and behavioral health needs, and peer support services for people living with mental health challenges, caregivers supporting loved ones, and individuals in recovery. Our peer specialists draw from their own lived experiences to provide understanding, encouragement, and hope because healing is stronger when no one has to walk the journey alone.

At Esperanza, we recognize that healing extends beyond clinical care. By integrating behavioral health with social services, we help address the social, cultural, and economic factors that influence overall well-being. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where every person feels safe, empowered, and supported—a place where culture is celebrated, language is never a barrier, and every individual has the opportunity to heal, thrive, and build a brighter future.

Aurora supports caregivers of children, adults, seniors, and loved ones with disabilities or complex medical needs. Caring for someone else can be rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming and isolating. Aurora connects caregivers with peer support, wellness resources, community services, education, and practical assistance so they don't have to navigate the journey alone. Click her to learn more:
