JOB TITLE: Director of Mental Health & Social Services
DEPARTMENT: Family Connections
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
LOCATION: In person- Spokane
STATUS: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
BENEFITS: Sick Leave, PTO, $300 medical stipend for benefits, flexible schedule, birthday day off, and paid winter break.

Job Description and Responsibilities
The Director of Mental Health & Social Services plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Esperanza program, our dedicated initiative focused on mental health therapy and wraparound services. This position uniquely blends direct clinical practice with essential leadership responsibilities, ensuring the program not only meets the needs of our clients but also adheres to the highest standards of care and compliance.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Required Qualifications
1. Clinical Practice:
• Provide trauma-informed therapy to both adults and children, utilizing evidence-based practices to support mental health and emotional well-being.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of clients.
2. Leadership and Supervision:
• Oversee clinical supervision for therapy staff, fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development.
• Mentor and guide team members in best practices for trauma-informed care and therapeutic interventions.
3. Program Administration:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Esperanza program, ensuring efficient services delivery and adherence to organizational policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate services and enhance the overall client experience.
4. Compliance Oversight:
• Ensure the program complies with all relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and funding guidelines.
• Regularly review and update policies and procedures to maintain compliance and improve service quality.
5. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the reach and impact of the Esperanza program.
• Analyze program outcomes and client feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Master’s degree in social work, Psychology or related field.
• Licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• Proven experience in clinical practice, particularly in trauma-informed care.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective team management.
• Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills.
